Steel is tough and flexible, absorbing seismic energy far better than concrete or masonry. Under extreme wind or heavy snow, our structures stay reliable, providing your grain with one of the strongest physical shells available.We recommend flat, dry, well-drained sites and use high-quality steel with excellent corrosion, fire, and weather resistance. Our designs include proper ventilation and temperature control systems, plus multiple waterproofing and moisture-proofing measures, all to keep your grain safe and sound.
Design
At GEFAN (Great Fabrication), design is our core strength. For every steel grain silo, we focus on four dimensions: grain characteristics (load modeling and buckling analysis for different crops), equipment integration (embedded interfaces for ventilation, temperature sensors, and conveyors), operational efficiency (column-free spans from 30 to 100 meters), and environmental adaptability (insulation, anti-condensation, seismic, wind, and explosion protection). We deliver more than drawings—you get finite element analysis (FEA) reports, BIM clash detection, and construction simulation animations. Engineering logic that keeps its promise.
Production
GEFAN delivers complete steel structure production. From CNC plasma cutting (tolerance ±1mm) and automatic submerged arc welding to hot-dip galvanizing and heavy-duty coating, every step is strictly controlled. We work with all major components including H-beams, box columns, trusses, purlins, knee braces, and stiffeners. Our quality process includes welding procedure qualification (WPQ), pre-assembly, and non-destructive testing (NDT). What you get is not just steel parts—it is a fully traceable manufacturing data chain.
Packing and Transportation
For large steel grain silos, we typically ship via 40HQ containers or break-bulk vessels. Before packing, our engineers run precise 3D modeling to optimize component stacking and minimize shipping volume, saving you freight costs. Every steel component is marked with a unique code, so from our factory to your site you can track, identify, and position each piece—making overseas installation start faster.
Installation
GEFAN provides dedicated installation engineers on every project—not just remote drawing support. Before installation, we run 3D simulations to confirm lifting sequences and temporary support plans, eliminating clashes and blind spots from the start. Worried about local workers making mistakes? Every component has a unique code. With our material list and installation manual, even a first-time crew can match codes and install correctly. What we deliver is not a pile of steel—it is a complete installation system of "open, install by code, and inspect step by step."
